Review Summary:

If you are looking for professional style performance in an affordable machine, then the Numatic Hetty is a great purchase. You get effective cleaning in a user-friendly vacuum and this model comes with tools that really expand the usefulness of the machine. For performance and reliability, there are few models in this price range that can compare to the HET200-12.

The Numatic Hetty is known for her pretty face and for her effective cleaning power. The Hetty and Henry canister vacuums from Numatic have been around for quite awhile and most consumers are at least familiar with the look of these machines. What many people may not realise is that the manufacturers periodically redesign these units to improve on things like effectiveness and efficiency. This Hetty is the HET200-12 and it is host to a few upgrades from the previous models.

When you first get the vacuum, you are going to notice a lot of the familiar features. The smiling face on the body, the size of the drum and so forth. However, this is not your same old Hetty. Most notably, this machine has a new high-efficiency motor. The new motor offers 620-watts of power and it delivers suction that is on par with the older less efficient motors that were in previous models of this line. That makes for an energy rating of A and less electricity consumed while you clean.

The HET200-12 is also very versatile. The user can clean on carpets, tile, concrete, wood and more. In addition to that, this machine also comes with a great set of tools. Obviously, it comes with the combination floor tool, but you also get a crevice tool, a dusting brush and an upholstery nozzle with a removable brush. Along with that, you also get stainless steel extensions for the hose to help you get the hard to reach places.

When it comes to ease of use, the Hetty is also pretty good. It has a long 10m cord that retracts into the unit and this provides the user with a sizeable working area. Its wheels move pretty well as you move along cleaning the home and you should have no problems handling the wand or the different attachments. The only thing that can make it a little bit of a pain is that it can be a bit heavy if you need to lug it up the stairs.

Consumers also get a nice 9-litre drum for dirt and dust collection. If you are only using it for home cleaning, one bag will last a very long time and it is fairly simple to change the bag when the time comes for a replacement.

Another nice feature that comes with this model is the Tritex filtration. It removes dust and dirt from the system, along with trapping certain types of particulate contamination. It improves on the overall cleaning power of the machine and it means less bacteria and allergens in the house.

As with past Hetty and Henry models, you are getting a machine that you can depend on. The consumer gets a vacuum that is built to last and it comes with a 2-year limited warranty from the manufacturer.
