Review Summary:

When it comes to performance and convenience, this machine does have you covered. It provides great cleaning on a range of different jobs and it even has settings that are specifically intended for things like dusting and upholstery cleaning. Being lightweight and compact also make this one of the nicer canister vacuums on the modern market. The only thing that may steer some consumers away from this model is the energy consumption, but it does perform really well in just about every other category.

The Miele Compact C2 PowerLine is a canister vacuum that has some serious power behind it. Consumers will be impressed with the power of this machine, but they will also find that it has a range of features that improve performance and ease of use.

The most notable feature of this machine is the power. It comes equipped with a 1600-watt motor motor that provides suction that few of the competitors can beat. It removes dirt and grime from deep in carpets and there are few pieces of debris that this model will not suck right up. The only drawback to this power is that it does come at a price. The machine uses an estimated 59.8 Kilowatt hours of electricity per year and that is kind of high compared to many of the competing models that are on the modern market. It scores a G for the energy rating.

The Compact C2 measures up well in regard to versatility. This model has a combination floor tool that allows the user to move from carpets to hard floors without having to change heads and it comes with a three-piece accessory set to expand the versatility of the machine. The user gets a crevice tool, a dusting brush and an upholstery tool and they can all be clipped right to the cleaning tube for easy access. In addition to that, the wand has a telescoping action to help the user get to those hard to reach places.

This model is also designed to be convenient and easy to use. It comes on wheels that effortlessly glide across the floor as you clean and you get a nice 10m working radius out of the retractable 6.5m cord. Along with that, this machine is fairly light for a canister vacuum. It weighs less than 5 kilos, so it is not too much of a burden if you ever need to carry it somewhere.

This may sound like a strange thing to say about a machine that is made for cleaning, but this model is also exceptionally good at being clean. It has an 11-stage filtration system that keeps the dust emissions very low and the bags are specially designed to close when you remove them. In essence, once dirt and dust enter this machine, there is no escaping. This advanced filtering system makes the C2 PowerLine especially good for people that have respiratory issues.

With a brand like Miele, you also know that you are getting a quality build. From the mechanical parts to the housing, this is a machine that is made to stand the test of time. Miele rigorously tests all of their machines and they back their workmanship up with a 2-year limited warranty.
