Review Summary:

For quick effortless clean up jobs, the AEG AG942 ErgoRapido 2 In 1 vacuum is the business; all the freedom of a cordless vacuum with the added bonus of a very useful handheld vacuum too. Highly recommended.

The AEG AG942 ErgoRapido 2 in 1 is a cordless multi-talented stick vacuum and handheld in one. Its low weight, only 3.8 kg, makes it a breeze to whizz around the house, taking care of spills and debris. The nozzle swivels 180°, so it’s easy to manoeuvre around corners or underneath the sofa. AEG’s motorized brushroll (essentially a powered turbo brush) pulls ground in dirt and hair from rugs and carpets (don’t use it on deep pile, though) and you won’t need to get the scissors out to clean it – with the Brushroll Clean technology, you simply press a pedal on the side of the vacuum head, a blade will chop through the hairs, threads, fur, etc that always gets wound up in the brushes, and the vacuum will suck it all up; completely hassle free. The LEDs on the front of the nozzle will also ensure you can’t miss the dirt that needs cleaning up, even under the furniture.

With a simple click of a button, you detach the middle of the vacuum and have a small handheld vacuum. The handheld comes with two accessories: a fine bristle brush, great for soft furnishings and upholstery as it won’t damage the fabric; and a small crevice tool, particularly useful for the hard to reach areas that always seem to pick up more than their share of dust and dirt.

The ErgoRapido bagless bin holds 0.5 litres and has a washable dust container and filter. It fully charges in 4 hours on the nifty charging stand and will run for 35 minutes from a full charge. A light indicator on the vacuum will show you how low you’re getting, but there’s no decrease in suction as the charge wears down so you can get the full benefit of its suction power even when the charge is low.

Though the AEG ErgoRapido isn’t meant to replace your main vacuum cleaner, it will certainly save you having to get it out so frequently. The 2 in 1 feature makes it very versatile and the build quality feels sturdy. Owners really appreciate its good looks, user friendly design and great features.
